March Madness!

Ok so I borrowed this from the college basketball hoopla that happened this month but this is how I can best describe this month in terms of my fitness journey.  I can't believe I've completed three solid months and I'm still going strong as far as working out is concerned. I think I found a schedule that works for me.
I do cardio on Mondays with a couple guys from work. It's fun working out with men because they push you like another woman couldn't. You don't want to come off looking like a punk because you can't keep up with them so it pushes to me to work harder. They still call me a punk because I don't do an hour of cardio like them but they are not married or have kids to take care so I can't afford to spend all that time on the elliptical. Secretly I don't want too.  LOL

Tuesday I  affectionately refer to two a day Tuesdays. I do bootcamp during my lunch hour then in the evening I work out with an old college friend and ex-roommate of mine named Michelle.  It's like an FSU college reunion in there when she comes with her husband and another old college buddy. LA Fitness becomes the Leach Center all over again.  LOL.

Wednesdays I work out with Michelle again. We switch out with doing upper body and lower body.

Thursdays I do Kettlebell with Lubov. She's still nuts as ever. I'm convinced she lays in bed at night thinking of ways to torture us and torture us she did, especially yesterday. I got so dizzy doing one of her circuits I had to sit for a few minutes to collect myself.

Friday is my rest day.

Saturday, this day is still hit or miss for me. Sometimes I work out most times I don't but I've found something to do and that's Lubov beach workout. I must be insane to work out with her twice in one week. But I must say you burn a lot of calories in that workout. I lost 2 pounds doing this workout. LOL

Sunday is rest.

Like I said this schedule has been working so far for me. Trying to get into beach body shape. I had set a weight loss goal for the month of March. I wanted to lose 10 pounds this month. Lots of people said it was unrealistic but I was going to prove them wrong!!!

Well turned out they were right. 10 pounds in one month isn't very realistic. They say that 1-2 pounds a week is ideal and safest type of weight loss. But I am proud to announce that I lost 6 pounds this month. And I think it's really starting to show. I've received a lot of compliments this month. Someone told me I looked healthy and fresh face.  LOL  I've finally reached my pre-baby weight and then some. I'm 7 pounds from my "ideal weight" but I think I'm going to go for another 10 pounds. My actual ideal weight range is between 140-155. I'm shooting for 145. Fit and fab in 2011!!
