Progress

I just wanted to check in with you guys. The weight loss is still going well. I'm still losing about a pound a week. Still working out 5 days a week. I even started a running group. It's apart of a bigger organization called Black Girls Run! I talked about them in my last blog post.

We meet once a week at the park and walk. So far it's the three of us but I have people who have shared their interest to join. Right now we are mostly walking but we're up to walking three miles. We hope to make it four tomorrow. I've made a new goal for myself. I can't believe I'm putting it out there but it makes me accountable if I do. I decided that I want to run a marathon, alright a Half marathon. That's 13 miles for anyone who didn't know. Yes run for 13 miles. That's nuts right but it's my new goal for this year.

Anyways.....One of the things about losing weight that no one really talks about is the fact that your underwear gets too big. This may go into TMI category but.... Before I had my son was a decent size 36B chest wise. I was happy with my size. I was never one of those women that looked at big breasted woman and thought, "Oh man I wish I had her chest." On the contrary I was happy with my size so you can imagine my annoyance when I was with child how my bust size ballooned to a 40DD! Yep, I was porn star status. LOL! Now my husband was happy but I was not especially when I was in maternity store every month buying new bras.
I thought they'd never shrink but after working out I'm finally down to a 36D.
Which means now I'm in the stores every month now buying smaller bras. LOL. I call these #weightloss problems. No one really talks about this. As you women know bras are not cheap!

Another weightloss problem I'm having is what I call the droopy pants look. That happens when my pants start to get too big and droop in the back. It's not a cute look, no matter what those little boys in the streets say. lol. So again, I'm back in the stores buying new clothes. It's fun buying clothes 2 or 3 sizes smaller than I was buying them just last year ago. It's just that I'm not rich and can't afford to be in the stores every other week buying clothes. So that part of it is kind of a pain. And don't get my started on how every store has their own version of the sizing chart.
A size 10 in NY&Co is not a size 10 at Ann Taylor. I need all clothing manufacturers to get together and work on a unified sizing chart. That's not too much to ask is it??
